- Amiga 2000 Preferences Icon
-
- by Tim Draper
-
- (Amiga, etc. are trademarks of Commodore-Amiga Inc.)
-
- Why?
-
- Well, I bought an A2000, not a 1000, and the Workbench disk I got with
- the 2000 had an Amiga-1000 in its Preferences icon, even though the disk
- was labeled Amiga 500/2000 Workbench. So, after a while, I decided to change
- the pesky little thing into something more appropriate, like an Amiga 2000.
-
- Maybe some of you 2000 owners would like to also.
-
- How?
-
- You need xicon, somewhere on your disks/RAM:/wherever.
-
- FROM CLI -
-
- copy ClickMe to the directory that holds your Preferences
- program, along with pref.info, then ...
-
- "xicon ClickMe"
-
- That's it!
-
- It is, of course, advisable NOT to do this to your
- original disk, only to your backup/work copy. You --DO--
- use a backup copy of Workbench , DON'T you?
-
- FROM WORKBENCH -
- First, PLEASE have XICON in your C: directory!
- Drag ClickMe and Pref into the same drawer or root/disk
- as your Preferences program. Then double-click ClickMe.
-
- That's it!
-
- Again, do this ONLY to a backup Workbench!
- ~~~~~~
- Goodbye!
